BUYaHOIST.com was developed after we had personally spent over 40 years in the hoist business and learned through experience what our customers needed and wanted. Based on that, we decided to provide an easy hassle free method of selecting Electric Chain Hoists to our local and national customers.  It has become apparent that our product offering will be expanded to more than just Electric Chain Hoists.

Our mission is to provide "Name Brand" equipment that is quality manufactured and dependable via a customer friendly format. Our "Golden Rule" – provide products for you that we would use ourselves.

A common misconception in our business is that "all hoists are created equal". That is not true. All hoists (that we represent) are manufactured to the specific standards and features of a specific brand and model. Take time to look at the Product Feature Sheets to determine a product's attributes.

What varies are the Models. Different Models are manufactured to meet various applications and duty requirements. Example – A single phase hoist will not perform the duty cycles of a 3 Phase model but, you may not have 3 Phase power available and therefore no choice. Look at the Horsepower ratings for a given capacity and lift speed…more horsepower usually means able to do more work. Look at the lift speed…a higher speed hoist means less motor runtime and all motors are based on "X" runtime per hour. As you select speeds, consider productivity as well as a safe speed for the application. Two-Speed models may provide better "load positioning" while at the same time being "more productive".

Consider the other items also. For example, single fall lift chain is becoming more in demand for safety reasons (fewer pinch points). Look at the braking method...what best suits your needs? Maybe you have a personal preference. Even the two-speed ratio may be applicable.
